Highlights from Chelsea in Bloom 2025
/This was my first year hosting a garden tour that included the Chelsea Flower Show in London. One of my favorite aspects of the show was the fabulous floral extravaganza Chelsea in Bloom, London's largest free-to-attend festival of flowers that coincides with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
2025 was the 20th anniversary of Chelsea in Bloom—an annual event that extends the Chelsea Flower Show out into the local neighborhoods. Produced by Cadogan Estates in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), it is a delight for residents and visitors alike.
Just like Chelsea Flower Shows landscape and exhibits, Chelsea in Bloom is also a competition, with Gold, Silver-Gilt, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards given to participants by RHS judges and lifestyle judges. Other awards include Best Floral Display, Highly Commended, the Innovation Award, and the coveted People's Champion.
From Monday, May 19 to Sunday, May 25, more than 130 businesses, shops, hotels, museums, and restaurants throughout Chelsea showcased the incredible floral displays. Local florists, designers and horticulturalists used their creativity to transform the streets of London with imaginative flower arrangements. Shops taking part included Ralph Lauren, Lululemon, The Conran Shop, and Sloane Square Hotel, to name a few. In addition to the floral displays, shops and restaurants featured flower-themed products, discounts, and flower themed foods (like a pizza with edible flowers) and cocktails.
In support of the British Fashion Council, this year’s theme was Flowers in Fashion. The stunning floral installations were inspired by iconic fashion moments, legendary designers, and London's creative scene. Large-scale installations included a stylish handbag on Sloane Square, and giant Elton John-inspired sunglasses, and numerous gowns made of fresh flowers.
